RCT is the procedure performed by ENDODONTISTS

Endodontists undergo extensive training during their post-graduation for a period of 3 years after graduating as a full-time dentist. Endodontists are specialized in diagnosing the infected dental pulp, treating tooth pain by performing root canal treatments.

Root canal treatment is a procedure intended to eliminate bacteria and infected pulp from the root canals. The infected pulp is removed and also the inside of the tooth is cleaned and disinfected to prevent further damage, then filled and sealed with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha.

Root canal treatment can save your tooth from having to be removed or extracted. Further, the tooth is restored with a crown or filling for protection and will continue to function like any other tooth.

It is performed in single sitting or multiple sittings depending upon the amount of infection present in the tooth.

MICROSCOPIC ENDODONTICS

Endodontic therapy has changed greatly in the last few years, changes from “uncertain endodontic therapy” to “secure endodontic therapy” Microscope has significantly enhanced the ability of a dentist to view the tiniest details inside a patient’s tooth. It helps by magnifying vision up to 30 times that of a naked eye which allows to work with great precision and better outcomes compared to treatment without using a microscope.

LASER ASSISTED RCT

It can be done using LASER called as Laser Rct, wherein the Dental lasers are used to disinfect the canals which is considered as added advantage.
